This page explains how Type Shogun handles gameplay data, purchases, support, and website services.
1. Local gameplay data
Type Shogun stores gameplay progress, settings, avatar selections, WPM records, WPM challenges, saved seeds, custom texts, and similar gameplay data locally on the player's device. This local data is used to remember player settings and progress.
2. Purchases and license keys
If you purchase the direct-download edition, purchase processing, receipts, license-key delivery, refunds, chargebacks, tax/VAT handling, and order recovery may be handled by a checkout provider. The checkout provider may collect payment, billing, tax, email, and order information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
3. First-time activation
The direct-download edition may require first-time online activation with a license key. Activation may involve sending the license key, product/variant identifiers, activation instance information, and basic device or operating-system information needed to support activation limits. Type Shogun is designed to allow normal play after successful activation.
4. Website and video hosting
The Type Shogun website is hosted through Cloudflare services and may include embedded video hosting. Cloudflare or other service providers may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser information, device information, request logs, and performance/security information when you visit the website or watch a video.
5. Support email
If you contact support, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include, such as your operating system, purchase method, license issue, screenshots, or error messages. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless specifically requested and appropriate.
6. Children
Type Shogun is designed to be family-friendly and educational. The game does not ask children to create accounts or submit personal information inside the game. If a child needs support, a parent or guardian should contact us.
7. Platform services
If you purchase or play Type Shogun through Steam, Apple, or another platform, that platform may process account, purchase, download, update, or platform-service information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
